Content Marketing: Why showcasing your deals matter?
Content marketing has been a critical player in the scheme of things for lawyers and law firms. The need to consistently build and provide original content is where the true battle lies. The time, money, and resources needed for content marketing are enormous. So then, how does one solve for this?
The truth is, that not every law firm needs to have a full-fledged content marketing program featuring everything ranging from articles to blogs and podcast episodes. There is a specific kind of content that all law firms have readily available with them at all times.
The deal data! The nature of deals done for every practice area represent your law firm’s best chance to build content around an easily accessible pool of information, which will also be useful for your practice and contribute to its growth trajectory.
By displaying deals on a public platform (subject to your client’s approval), you can provide ample proof to potential clients, assure them of your expertise in the space and help them make an informed choice to engage your services. It gives you a tremendous edge when demonstrating that the services you are providing are worthwhile and of the highest calibre rather than merely making claims about the calibre of the work that is done. By displaying your work, you can back up all claims with concrete outcomes. As long as it continues to appropriately reflect the work you currently do, it serves as content with a long shelf life.

How to upload a deal on ‘ The Deal Matter’?
If you’re just getting started with The Deal Matter, we urge you to start by visiting our website.
Click on the tab on the upper right corner of the landing page ‘Submit a Deal’. This will take you to the Deal Report Form where you can fill in all the details as per each deal and submit for review.
Once this is done, our backend team of researchers will evaluate the content and publish it. It is important to tie in your growth strategy with the kind of deals and matters you choose to publish. They can also be cherry-picked to demonstrate the practice areas or sectoral expertise you would like to highlight.
For example, if your firm has a new practice area in which you hope to grow, you can intentionally produce and share more deals in that practice area.
Once the deals have been published on The Deal Matter, you can then share them on LinkedIn and any other social platforms your firm regularly uses.
